Wells Story This modern Nunez also got inspired by Erasmus quote : "In the country of the blind the one-eyed man is king". He said that this gives him a blank slate to carve out a professional leadership position for him. Upon joining he realized that all those stories he heard about this place is true. In reality this function didn't exist there.
I remember telling him about dangers of joining this place and some of the pervious stories. Some one sold him a transformational experience in a corporate where he had joined 2 years back. He flaunted all ivy league pedigree and best possible functional expertise. This man was an expert in a functional area. This modern Nunez with whom I was talking had a strikingly similar story. Devastated Nunez after hearing this forgot "One-Eyed Man is King" saying and somehow sneaked out of the place. Local doctor concluded that there are two unnatural growth on his face and they need to be taken out to cure the disease. But when he heard the diagnosis of the local doctor he was horrified.
Local suggested that if he goes to their local doctor and get treated this union can happen. The locals refused this union as they felt that Nunez is suffering from some disease. He also fell in love with the daughter of Yacob for whom he has started working. All the people here termed him as lunatic and suffering from some disease as he told them about sight and its benefits. He thought he has both his eyes and can become king of this place by educating them about sight. Nunez remembered a quote by Desiderius Erasmus : "In the country of the blind the one-eyed man is king". All the residents here had lost their vision by some disease and had completely forgotten the existence of sight. Nunez entered a country by accident which was surrounded by mountains from all sides.

While I was pondering over his story I got a memory of a beautiful story which I studied during my school days. One such encounter happened during the beginning of July 2017. When I talk to many of our industry colleagues', I end up listening many fascinating stories.
